Walk-in Chamber Water Filling Methods and Precautions

The walk-in chamber can not only provide temperature aging test for the sample, but also can test the humidity resistance stress of the product by controlling the humidity. To be able to do the humidity test normally, it is inseparable from the correct method of adding water.

In this article, we will discuss a little about the addition of water to the walk-in chamber.

1. How to add water to the walk-in chamber?

In the middle and lower part of the right side of the walk-in chamber, there is a small drawer that can be pulled out, which is the pouring drawer. There is a water level display meter under the small drawer, when the display meter reaches 90% water level, it can be stopped.

When some friends use it again, the water is added, but when setting it, it will alarm, prompting "water shortage protection". This is because there is no water in the humidification pipeline of the equipment when it is used again, and there is a lack of water.

Therefore, when using it again, the correct steps are: add water to the pouring drawer to 90% of the scale, then start the operation, wait for two minutes to run, and then start the setting work after the water is fully recirculated in the pipeline.

2. Precautions for adding water to the walk-in chamber:

The water to be added to the equipment has requirements for resistivity. The low resistivity shows that there are many impurities. On the one hand, it will cause blockage of the water circulation pipeline, and on the other hand, it will cause corrosion to the components of the capacitor inside. Therefore, it is recommended to use distilled water or bottled water with higher resistivity than tap water.

Even if distilled water or bottled water is used, it will inevitably come into contact with the air, and it will be contaminated with dust in the air or chemically react with air substances to generate impurities. It can also lead to the growth of microorganisms and bacteria after prolonged use. Therefore, it is necessary to clean the water tank regularly, and the frequency of cleaning is about once a month.

There is a drain pipe behind the walk-in chamber. This should be turned off during normal use, and opened when cleaning to drain sewage.

When doing the humidity test, the controller controls the humidity of the experimental space by judging the humidity of the experimental space through the temperature comparison fed back by the wet bulb. Therefore, even if there is water in the water tank, if the wet bulb dries up, the correct information cannot be fed back to the controller, which will lead to inaccurate humidity control. There are two main reasons for the wet ball cloth drying up. One is that the wet ball cloth is dirty and cannot absorb water normally, so it is recommended to replace a wet ball cloth; the other wet cloth tank is short of water. This will allow you to add water to the wet cloth tank.
